Dianne I. Maroney
Dianne Maroney was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She holds a Masters in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Science Center, and worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse for 15 years. Shortly after her daughter was born 14 weeks premature, Dianne began working in mental health, helping families with premature infants deal with the traumatic effects of early birth. While traveling across the country meeting ordinary people who had extraordinary stories, she realized the power of telling a story using Imagine. Dianne published a beautiful coffee-table photography book (Yampa Valley Publishing) in 2013. She then developed a 6-step process to give kids and teens the opportunity to tell their story, overcome obstacles that might be holding them back, and write a new story in their lives.
Dianne founded The Imagine Project, Inc. as a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit humanitarian organization in July, 2015 to bring this process to every child at no cost to the school, organization or child. For more information go to www.theimagineproject.org
